Times come when an individual is not convinced with approaches in use…. and becomes unsatisfied with coined words and expressions that describe his own approach….then he unwontedly is forced to break up the words and make a new expression that could describe his approach…. I think the same time came to me….. I don’t see fitting my approach with rationalism, empiricism; historicism and idealism so I see the world out there that I experience are hitchhiking between these approaches…. Why I am discontent with all these approaches???…. The main reason is that…..human is the sources…… perhaps better to say are the generators of knowledge….what kind of approach they use are depending on their personal inclinations as well as what they are good at….. And of course they are good at what they have learnt (opportunities available for learning; the competence of the institutions, teachers and parents)…………..I call my approach….empirico-rationalism….. ? Seems an awkward phrase….what does it really means? …. It means that ….I rely heavily on two approaches….observation and thinking….. In other words….I think the sources of the my writings come from both observation and thinking….Observations alone… are not able to generate good ideas and thinking alone become barren of experience and boring to death and detached from reality…. I call it Philoknol…..Philo means love a world coined by Greeks (borrowing something from ancient Golden time to express my gratitude to Greek’s contribution to human knowledge) and Knol means a unit of knowledge, a word coined by Google (Borrowing something from modern Golden time to express my gratitude to Google for its contribution to human knowledge)…..Here in this blog, I share my Philoknols….. hope that you enjoy and benefit from them………………………
